Romania is probably best known for Count Dracula, but don’t let his castle in Sighişoara in Tansylvania be the only place you visit in this interesting country. The frescoed monasteries of southern Bucovina are UNESCO treasures, the Danube Delta is home to hundreds of birds in the spring and the capital Bucharest is a fascinating place where historic buildings sit should-to-shoulder with grey housing blocks of the 1960’s.
